Aer Lingus shows it has the ‘X Factor’

Ireland's national carrier, Aer Lingus, has been revealed as an airline partner to The X Factor 2018, in a deal which will see the airline appear on the prime-time ITV talent show.

Aer Lingus flew the Girls, Groups and Overs to the ‘Judges’ Houses’. As revealed in the first ‘Judges’ Houses show, the Girls group flew from London to Los Angeles in California, via Dublin. Once there, they performed to try and secure a place in the live shows, which begin later this month. The second and third judges’ houses episodes will be broadcast this weekend, on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. The show will also be available online on ITV Hub.

Ruth Ranson, the carrier’s director of communications, said: “Aer Lingus is proud to be an Airline Partner of The X Factor. We hope that The X Factor contestants enjoyed taking to the skies with Aer Lingus. Our dedicated cabin crew, flight crew and ground staff, who go above and beyond every day to ensure our guests experience the very best service in the sky, were instrumental to ensuring the success of this partnership. With a route network including 15 destinations in North America, it’s easier than ever to fly to the US and Canada with Aer Lingus and enjoy the amazing Irish hospitality of Ireland’s four-star airline.”

Aer Lingus currently flies to 13 destinations in North America and offers a seamless connection for UK travellers via Dublin Airport, with the opportunity to preclear US immigration and customs before stepping on board the transatlantic flight. The airline recently announced two new destinations: Montréal in Canada and Minneapolis-St. Paul which will commence summer 2019.
