Advantage Travel Centres has retained its Investors in People (IIP) status for a further three years, following a regular review by IIP assessors.

First awarded IIP status in 2006, Advantage was commended for having “solid aims and objectives which are delegated to teams and individuals” as well as engaging staff in “regular dialogue with the CEO and members of the management team” and encouraging “open and transparent communication”.

John McEwan, chief executive of Advantage Travel Centres, said: “Retaining IIP is important for us and we are pleased our accomplishments and efforts as an organisation have been officially recognised. Our people described Advantage as having “an empowering, open, relaxed and inclusive culture with clear goals and aspirations” which is a strong endorsement of how we operate and an achievement we are committed to maintaining.”

The IIP assessor also recognised the “high level of optimism and positivity to the organisation and its members” and the “good working relationship with peers and managers”. They noted that the “CEO dedicates time to communicate with [staff] directly, on a formal and informal basis throughout the year”.
