Edinburgh's Dundas Castle has relaunched its five-star glamping facilities with the addition of a fully accessible unit for wheelchair users and guests with disabled access needs.

As with all ten of the canvas cottages, the accessible glamping tent is set on its own grassy knoll and is surrounded by countryside, on the shores of the private Dundas Estate loch.

The accessible units have their own short wooden wheelchair ramp, just feet from the access road, while the entrance door is more than four feet wide and full height, allowing unhindered access. With prices starting at £159 per night, each Canvas Cottage features a king size bed complete with Egyptian cotton bedding.

All units also include a fully equipped kitchen cupboard, wood burning stoves with a supply of logs, barbecues, USB ports for charging devices, towels, lighting, patio heaters, comfy seating and a lockable safe box.

Owner of Dundas Castle, Sir Jack Stewart-Clark, said: “We are very proud of the glamping facilities on the loch and the addition of the accessible unit makes the luxury and enjoyment of glamping available to everyone. Glamping was so popular last year, we are confident with the expansion and new facilities that we will see a record number of people on the estate this year.”
