Francois Peron National Park Tourism Western AustraliaABTA has announced Western Australia as part of the 12 destinations to watch as part of its 2019 Trends report.

The destinations to watch have been independently selected by the association’s experts, based on a range of factors such as new flight routes, major events and celebrations, and areas that are experiencing a revival.

The report cited several reasons for the inclusion of Western Australia in this year’s top 12 destinations including: the introduction of the Qantas non-stop flight from London to Perth, the recent developments in Perth, the bohemian charm of Fremantle, the state’s sprawling coastline and scenic natural attractions like Ningaloo Reef and the Bungle Bungle Range.

Victoria Bacon, ABTA's director of brand and business development, said: “This year’s 12 destinations to watch showcase the diversity available to UK holidaymakers, including a range of vibrant cities, rich cultures, incredible countryside and stunning beaches - all readily accessible from the UK."
