Shearings Holidays is to feature A-ROSA River Cruises in 2018, which are packaged into commissionable, all-inclusive tours for agents to sell.

With both operators keen to capture more of the UK market, the new partnership will see Shearings Holidays take a full ship charter alongside selling 19 departures on 12 itineraries on six rivers. In addition, a joint marketing fund has been allocated to drive awareness amongst the travel trade and help both operators engage fully with agents.

Shearings will package the river cruise with either coach travel from the UK to the ship, rail options including Eurostar and local rail (where appropriate) or flights from a range of UK airports. In addition, where available a dedicated Home Connect service is offered to all A-ROSA cruise customers. For those booking early, a range of ‘Early Booking Offers’ are available that offer savings off the total package price.

Jane Atkins, managing director at Shearings, said: “Partnering with A-ROSA means we can now offer the next level of ship class, in a move to capture a wide audience. Historically our river cruise product has featured entry-level ships and the addition of A-ROSA provides us with new product to attract new customers. We are especially excited about the multi-generational opportunities that our partnership offers.”

Over the coming months a range of agent focused marketing activity is planned including educationals, competitions, a VIP trip and a host of social media activity.

Overall package prices lead in at £559 per person for a six-day Paris & Versailles itinerary that includes four-nights' all-inclusive cruise on A-ROSA VIVA with free drinks on board, an excursion to the Palace of Versaiilles and a guided waking tour of Rouen, plus return travel from the UK by coach based on November 27 and December 5, 2018 departures.
