Larnaka Tourism urges tourists to return with new video

As travel restrictions are being lifted across the world,Cyprus is preparing to welcome tourists

Larnaka Tourism Board has launched a video titled ?it?s time to return,? to mark the reopening of Cyprus hotels on June 5, and the arrival of the first flights from abroad on June 9. The video is being shared across Larnaka Tourism Board?s social media platforms.

The Cypriot region sees a high number of repeat visitors, which inspired their slogan at the 2016 World Travel Market, "They Always Come Back".

The slogan was launched to highlight Larnaka?s high percentage of repeat visitors and the Great Flamingo was chosen because they can be observed at Larnaka Salt Lake and Voroklini Lake, between November and April, which is almost half a year.

Larnaka has more than 60% repeat visitors, compared to other seaside regions on the island of Cyprus.

?The high number of repeat visitors shaped our slogan, and the message in this new video, as we prepare to re-open for tourism. We are certain that it is the strength of our repeat guests, which will result in the number of visitor we might receive during this challenging year,? said Dinos Lefkaritis, chairman of Larnaka Tourism Board.

The video captures the town and district of Larnaka, its scenic views and water sports and gastronomical delights. The video was created with the support of the deputy minister of tourism of Cyprus.
