Birmingham Airport is located in the centre of the UK and connected to the national rail network via its on-site real station, Birmingham International. Regular trains serve the entire country, including several services an hour to London and Birmingham New Street – the UK’s busiest interchange rail hub, with trains leaving the station every 37 seconds.
Due to its central location, the Airport is at the heart of the UK motorway network. It is situated on the A45 trunk road off Junction 6 of the M42, with direct connections to the M1, M5, M6 and M40.
Offering 13,000 car park spaces on site, drivers have a range of parking products to choose from, with 6,000 within a two minute walk of the terminal. A free bus service is provided to all long stay car parks which can also be reached by foot in 10 minutes or less. Premium ‘Meet & Greet’ Parking is also available.
As a 'one terminal' Airport site, handling 11m passengers annually, travellers can expect a hassle free journey that offers a short walk between the check-in and furthest aircraft gate in just 15 minutes, and a minimum transfer time of just 45 minutes.
A newly refurbished Duty Free store features luxury brands such as Jo Malone, Bobby Brown, Tom Ford and Chanel. The departure lounge shopping offers designer favourites including Boss, Mont Blanc, Tag Heuer and Furla, plus many more great shops and restaurants.
Express Lanes are available to reduce any potential security queue times and you can pre book for £3.50 or pay £5.00 on the day. There are three business lounges available – Aspire, No1 Traveller and the Emirates Lounge – all offering a range of business facilities, food and beverages. Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal.
